Director/Trustee - Treasurer

Are you interested in helping people stay well in later life?
Our Trustees work together as the legal, moral and social guardians of our Charity on behalf of our older members.  You don't need to have previous Trustee experience to apply and we warmly welcome interest from people of all ages and cultures.
Food Train is an award winning charity providing practical support services helping older people to live more independently at home.  Established in Dumfries over 28 years ago by older people to provide a food access solution to local older people, Food Train now provides a range of home support services working with 1500 fantastic volunteers.  Together, we support 3,000 older people across large parts of Scotland.  We're a thriving progressive charity built around participation of older people and promotion of activities that support wellbeing and independent living and positive ageing.
We are looking for a new Trustee to take up the Treasurer role.  If you are looking for a friendly, inclusive and productive Trustee opportunity, and some financial knowledge and expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
The Trustee role is non-remunerated but travel expenses will be reimbursed with training provided.   There are 5 meetings per year (including the AGM).  Meetings are a mix of online and in-person.
For an informal chat about becoming a Trustee, please contact Michelle Carruthers MBE, Chief Executive, or you can download the documents below and submit an application.
