Fundraising

Without the generosity of people like you, our vital work would not be possible. With your kindness and involvement, together we can help and support older people right across Scotland to eat well, live well and age well. Below are a variety of ways you can help.

Your help keeps our vans on the road, supports the work of our local teams and contributes directly to the services we provide our members. We make every penny you give count towards improving the lives of older people.

    Collection pots

Collection pots in shops, offices and other local businesses really help us towards our fundraising. We can even claim back gift aid on the amount in each pot through the small cash donation scheme.

Get in touch here and we will arrange to drop some pots off to you.

    Easyfundraising

Easyfundraising turns your everyday shopping into donations, at no cost to you.

Just visit your favourite retailer (there are over 2700 retailers listed on the Easyfundraising website) and then shop as normal. Once you’ve made a purchase the retailer will then make a small donation to Food Train

    Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a really easy way to give regular support to Food Train.

Payroll Giving is a way of giving money to charity without paying tax on it. It must be paid through PAYE from someone’s wages or pension. For more information click here.

    Employees

Your employer needs to set up and run the scheme. The amount of tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay.

    Employers

Contact a Payroll Giving agency to set up a scheme.

Make deductions each time you run payroll. The donation will be taken from your employees’ pay before tax but after National Insurance.

Send the donations to your agency - they’ll pass them on to Food Train.

Sign up today and start donating, If you have any queries about the scheme you can contact us on fundraising@thefoodtrain.co.uk or 01387 270800.
