Training

Eat Well Age Well offers our Raising the Issue of Malnutrition training in a variety of formats with the aim of improving knowledge and understanding of malnutrition and its causes, as well as increasing confidence in identifying those who may be at risk of malnutrition and supporting older people to eat well as they age.

Training has been designed for those who work with or care for older people and includes information on

  • Malnutrition definitions and prevalence
  • Common causes, and signs and symptoms of malnutrition
  • Utilising simple tools such as the Patients Association Nutrition Checklist to identify those at risk of malnutrition.
  • Dietary requirements for older people
  • First line dietary advice that can be used to support older people who are at risk of malnutrition.
