Food Train Stirling had more than the Jubilee to celebrate on Tuesday 5th June. We reached a major milestone with our 1000th delivery since starting the service in November 2011.
A big thanks to Mr & Mrs West from Killearn who joined us in celebrating this landmark delivery.
This week was also the start of deliveries to our rural customers in Balfron, Killearn, Aberfoyle, Drymen and Callander.
On 18th June 2012 Christine Watt joined Linda and Irene at Food Train West Lothian. Christine will be getting Food Train 'EXTRA' home support service established and helping recruit and support all our wonderful local volunteers.
Up until now, Food Train Stirling have operated with only one van delivering to all of our customers. We have now taken delivery of a 2nd van which will allow us to not only increase customers in the existing areas but also extend further into more rural areas - west to villages of Gargunnock, Kippen, Balfron, Killearn, Drymen and also north to Callander, Aberfoyle, Brig O Turk, Thornhill.
On 16 January, Food Train welcomed its first customers from Bridge of Allan and Dunblane. Previously deliveries were within the Stirling urban areas so we are delighted to extend the service to customers in these new areas.
