Food Train Friends in the Machars self-proclaimed ‘Apple Pie Brigade’ visited Logan Botanic Garden on Thursday 9th April. Situated at the south-western tip of Scotland and warmed by the Gulf Stream, it offered a day full of sunshine, exotic plants and good company. The garden was glorious, with peaceful ponds, plants from ‘the age of the dinosaur’ and thought-provoking sculptures. The cameras were clicking all day to capture the beauty of the garden. Special thanks to the staff who were fantastic, and the apple pie was declared superb! The finishing touch was celebrating volunteer Davina’s birthday with an amazing chocolate cake. She very kindly brought some back to the office to share, so happy faces all round!
